GISBIR, who took care to support not only the sector but all students, supported the students of Piri Reis University Sailing Club.
Founded in 1995 to provide scholarships to İTÜ Maritime Faculty students and academic contributions and financial opportunities to those who want to pursue academic careers from graduates, the Foundation continues on its way by increasing its goals with 1963 scholarships and 1651 outreach to students today.
The Turkish Shipbuilders’ Association (GISBIR) decided to provide supplies to people in need due to the upcoming Ramadan and with the awareness of social responsibility. With the support of all Members of the Board of Directors, including Murat KIRAN, Chairman of the Board of Directors, it was decided to provide supplies to those in need in Tuzla and the surrounding area this year as they have been in the past four years. 500 pieces of food parcels prepared for this purpose were distributed to the needed person.
As every year, the 01 March Rize independence day organized by Rize Foundation for Culture and Social Assistance was supported by the GISBIR.
GISBIR, which has always supported successful and new ideas, has also been with the students this year.GISBIR, who attaches importance to students' new technologies and developing ideas in international media, supported ITU ROV Team this year. ISTANBUL Technical University, which was created by members of ITU Robotics (ARIGE) Club, which has come together from various faculties and has taught from different disciplines, has become more experienced this year with the participation of Pruva Rov and ITU Underwater Team. The Turkish Shipbuilders’ Association (GISBIR) continues to support ITU ROV team.
Yakamoz 2019 Sea and Women Symposium, organized by TMMOB GEMİMO for 08 March International Women's Day every year and which took place the third time this year, was sponsored by GISBIRMore than 2,000 participants took part in the Symposium held at Ataşehir Sheraton Grand Hotel.
Under the umbrella of ITU Maritime Faculty Alumni Association, which was founded in 1949, unity and togetherness for all former and new graduates was celebrated with Republic Dinner and 134th Fish Day organizations. One of the sponsors of the night was the Turkish Shipbuilders’ Association (GISBIR)
Piri Reis Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School with 248 students in the field of shipbuilding; In the Shipbuilding Area Workshop, the materials needed to provide better quality education to students were provided by the Turkish Shipbuilders’ Association.
